Gossip Girl

Well Monday night 5/18 is my big night. I am part of the final season episode for the Gossip Girl. Check it our 8:00 pm. I think I steal the show!
I got a new horse friend this week. His name is Martini and he came from New York City.
Martini is cute young horse and he tells me he likes the City of Brotherly Love just fine. Yesterday I did a wedding so today I am hanging out in the paddock munching hay.

We're having a heat wave.....

IS it August yet????? Have you ever tried being a horse with a full winter coat in a spring heat wave??? It is no fun let me assure you. But my favorite barn friends came through. We had the big barn fans on and we got cooled off with the hoses all day and night.

The best part of the day was when Kevin and Alex two of the greatest barn hands going gave all of us nice cool baths with plenty of soap and bubbles. All the working horses came home early and got bubble baths as well.

So now we are all munching on dinner and staying cool.

Farewell to the Harry Kalas

All the 76 Carriage horses were sad to lose Harry the K. We all loved to listen to him call a Phillies game on the stable radio.He was the greatest announcer and baseball just won't be quite the same without him.
On a happier note Rinny the world's greatest barn dog is back after feeling poorly earlier this week. He was out chasing us in the turnout yard today. Yippeeee!!!

Sorry I didn't write

I have been busy so I didn't get a chance to write. First things first I am soooo happy the sun is finally out again. Rain Yuk Sun Yeah!!!

I am going to show you my super secret pciture with one of the gossip girls on the set of the tv show. Don't I look handsome. I always get the pretty girls to pet me....

Happy Easter

Good News! The easter bunny came through and brought me plenty of carrots. I prefer my carrots raw thank you and he brought me a whole bunch of them. He also brought easter cookies for the carriage drivers.

I'm hanging out today at the barn in the turnout yard. Most of my horse friends are at Independence Hall giving carriage rides to families all dressed up in their easter bonnets. I am getting visists from the kids in Northern Liberites who stop by and pet me and feed me CARROTS!!
Did I mention carrots are my favorite treats. HINT BRING ME CARROTS>>>>>

Since it rained yesterday I think I am going to roll in the mud so that Dave the barn hand will have to brush me again. I just love getting brushed so I spend my free time thinking of ways to get dirty so they have to brush me again. And people think horses are dumb. HA HA HA

Well I am going to sign off since Rinny and Ben have come out to play in the big yard next to mine. Once Ben gets done rolling in the dirt we are going to play over the fence.

Rain Rain Go Away

Weather is a funny thing. The forecast said rain gone by noon, but it is still soggy 4 hours later. I was all dressed in my costume and when I got to the wedding they decided not to do it. On the bright side I got to go home early.
All the rest of my friends are giving carriage rides while I am back at the barn munching on my dinner. Just me, Rinny and out 2 fearless felines Toby and Tori. These two cats love to run and play with Rinny and they tear thru the barn in a pack. Their favorite snoozing spot is in the hay loft.
Corey the barn hand thinks that the cats act like puppies following the dog around. They are just too cute.
I am just going to hang out with the cats and wait for my friends to come home. Tomorrow is Easter Sunday and I want to say a big hello to the children at the First Presbyterian Church on Girard Avenue. I met them on Palm Sunday when I walked with Jesus and the children to the church. They were really fun and I enjoyed having them pet me.

Tonite I am going to bed dreaming of carrots from the Easter Bunny.

The great things about Friday.....

I'm hanging out in the barn today getting ready for tomorrow. First I get to be the test horse so that 2 new drivers Jessica and Casey can get their carriage driving licenses. I get to take this test all the time becaise I am oh sooooo well behaved. The I will get to dress up in my snazzy costume and thake the groom to his wedding . The procession usually has drums and is really cool to watch.

Then I will be hanging out at the carriage stand giving rides to lots of Irish dancers. They are having an international convention right here in Phila. Once I'm done I hope the Easter Bunny brings me some carrots which I prefer over chocolate any day.

Well I am off to the turnout yard to stretch my legs and chase Rinny the barn dog. He secretly wants to be a horse. He also likes to go visit the pet store across from the barn to get his daily treat. He has all kinds of dog friends that visit him on their daily walks.

Well I am off for my grooming and pedicure. A horse can't have enough good hoof care.

What a Sunny Day

Today the sun is finally shining and several of my friends ( Ben, Teddy, Wayne, Tom, Buzz, Merlin, Spot and Dick) are off to work. I am haeing a costume fitting for my Barat wedding on Saturday. I get to wear a pretty neat red and gold velvet outfit complete with leg bracelets. The groom will ride in my carriage to the wedding.

I can't wait until tomorrow when the famous illustrator EB Lewis comes to our barn. Teddy and Dick (they work as a pair sometimes) are going to pose with the buckboard wagon. Mr. Lewis is going to draw them for his next book. I'm a little jealous but hey I only go solo so Dick and Teddy will get the spotlight.

Well I'm off for the turnout yard while me stall is cleaned and my bedding is fluffed. Aah the life.

Trump's my name and horse drawn carriage tours are my game. I am large and white so I stand out in a crowd. I am the celebrity horse from 76 Carriage Company. In addition to taking tourists to see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, I dress up in costume for Barat Indian Weddings, pull a cinderella carriage and am a movie star......



Don't be jealous just because Kristen Bell petted my nose on the set of her next movie "When in Rome". She was ooh so nice and brought me treats from the catering tent.
